hmmmm, I do not think that these two geniuses would have fallen into any disagreements if they met. Everyone tries to push the greats to disagreement, but in truth each is working in different areas...they may be workers in the house but not both trying to paint the same wall. Rather one works on the foundation, another on the walls, another paints, another furnishes...it would be silly to say that the wall painter and the furnisher disagree because one uses the colour white and the other red. It is possible to have white walls and a red coach. Ibn Arabi works concerning the experience of the Divine, while Ibn Rush'd works on the knowledge of the divine...actually, there is not even much room where they could disagree even if they wanted to. A baker can argue with another baker about how to cook, but it would be ridiculous for him to argue with a brewer of tea. And, as Ibn Rush'd would have pointed out, Aristotle himself agrees with Ibn Arabi - for Aristotle says: "One doesn't come to religion for knowledge, but for experience." Philosophy must limit itself to the knowledge of the Divine, but religion should strive for the experience of the Divine.

I don't think the debate is actually from Imam Ghazali & Imam Ibn Rushd, rather created by the RUclipsr's own script. How can Imam Ghazali say the sun has always (eternally) existed while knowing it part of the Islamic Core believe system in Akhira, once the Judgment Day will be established there will be no more Earth or Sun. Moreover there was a time when Allah created the Sun, at the time of creation of Universe. It is not eternally existed.

Wonderful simple guide to understand two faculties: reason and intuition ( Akhal and Wijdan). The present day Muslim societies need to focus on knowledge obtained through sense perception. Their over-emphasis on outer aspects of Islam has led to their downfall in all fields, be it economic, Scientific, Technology, and Mathematics. Is it not a fact that out of 57 Muslim countries, only one country has an atom bomb; this shows that STEM have taken a back seat in 1500 years of civilization, whereas the USA, and most of G7 countries with 350 years of civilization have made strides in the real of science and technology. The need of the hour is synergies from Shaik Ibne Arabi and Ibne Rushd and Imam Razi.

Both of these guys have led Muslims in perdition ! Were they mandated by Allah to divide Muslims!? The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم said : I'm leaving two weighy things among you; the book of Allah & My Household (Ehlul Bait عليهم الصلاة و السلام) They won't separate until they meet Me at the pond ! And the Holy Quran says : قُل لَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ (Say, I'm not asking due for what (Islam)I brought to you, except compassion for My Household ) Sufism has been condemned by Ehlul Bait عليهم الصلاة و السلام and Ibn Taymiya لعنة الله عليه disgraced Imam Ali عليه الصلاة و السلام denying all His virtues. Scholars agree on a point that 300 ayats were revealed praising Imam Ali عليه الصلاة و السلام ! Sufis do say that Imam Ali عليه الصلاة و السلام is Imam ul Awliyah, but never really mean it !

If you study both of them with a sane and a practical mind. You will know ibne rushd was right. Its just that his opinion since is more practical, is lesser acceptable to people who generally tend to live in there magical world scenarios. The laws of nature itself are miracles of Allah.

So living a religious life we also still need a cultural life because cultures provides what is different to life than what religion provides. Culture is the difference between coastal people and mountain people. Coastal people eat more fish and mountain people eat more cattle’s than sea food. Religion informs of the truth of world and guides belief. The home built in the dessert is known as a Mesa which a home built in forests is built from wood and thatch. Should the one who builds mesas tell the one who lives in forest that Mesas are the only right way to build a home?

God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. There is no power or strength except with God. Oh people, oh nation of Muhammad, oh people of goodness, oh people of mercy. We are your sisters and your children. By God, we do not even find a loaf of bread inside the house that would satisfy you. Oh nation of Muhammad, I only spoke out of extreme hunger and distress. My mother, sisters, and I are displaced from our homes because of the war. We are in a state that no one knows about except God. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, against those who brought us to this state 💔💔 By God Almighty, I only wrote this appeal out of extreme poverty and poverty, oh people. By God, my brother comes every day and humiliates us and talks about us and wants us to go out to the street because we are unable to pay him the rent. The neighbors saw us crying and talked to the neighbors again and gave us a deadline until the end of the week and we swore to God to let us out of the street now we are in arrears of 60 thousand Yemeni riyals for 3 months rent may God have mercy on us our country is suffering because of this war and we do not find our daily sustenance and we live my mother and sisters our father passed away may God have mercy on him and we do not have anyone in the world to come to us in these harsh circumstances my little sisters went out to the street and saw the neighbors eating and stood at their door giving them even a piece of bread and by God in whose hand is the heavens and the earth they closed the door and kicked them out and they came back crying dying of hunger no one has mercy on them and now the holiday has come back to me if no one of us helps us with a kilo of flour by God we will die of hunger brother I seek refuge in God and then in you and I want your help for the sake of God I ask you by God you love goodness and help me even if it is about the rent of the house send me a WhatsApp message on this number 00967716649494 and ask for my card name and send it and do not delay may God compensate you with all good My little sisters, look at their situation and help us and save us before they throw us out into the street and humiliate us or my family and I die of hunger. I feel grounded and empowered when listening to IbnRushd. Al Ghazali makes me feel helpless like a dry leaf which goes everywhere the wind blows. Ultimately I accept that both are true. But as humans we operate by causality that the Creator determines. Of course when the outcome is not to your expectation be it positive or negative , “Ghazalizing” the situation glorifies God as the ultimate Cause. Ibn Rushd is more practical in my humble opinion. Looking into history and around us, the species and nations who dominate are those who master causality.
